The Take Action Program is a two-year employment program that will apply the principles of social marketing to encourage behaviour change related to invasive species in BC. The key focus for Take Action teams is to work with local community members to stop the introduction and spread of invasive species.
The first phase of this program is working with boaters and outdoor recreationists to "CLEAN-DRAIN-DRY" boats and equipment to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species in BC. A big thank you to all of you who participated! We will announce the winner of an iPad soon.
The Invasive Species Council of BC looks forward to working with its regional partners and others to ‘Take Action’ towards reducing the spread of invasive species across BC.
