Call for Nominations: The ISCBC Together in Action Individual Leadership Award 2024

Do you know someone who has gone above and beyond in the world of invasive species? Every year we honor two people with Together in Action Awards – one in the student category, and one in the individual category. Nominations in the student category can come from any member of the public, while nominations in the individual category must come from ISCBC staff or board.

The deadline for nominations for this year, is May 6th, 2024. Winners will be announced in May, during Invasive Species Action Month.

This is the criteria for the individual category:

  • Modeling leadership by inspiring others, building collaborative partnerships or successful teams, serving as a mentor, leading change for the better (catalyst), results-oriented
  • Went above and beyond; contributed beyond the workplace or school duties to demonstrate significant dedication and commitment
  • Demonstrated innovation and uniqueness in their efforts in invasive species management and prevention
  • Work made a difference ‘on the ground’ and had direct, measurable impacts on invasive species in BC
  • Significant commitment of personal time
  • Eligibility must be pertaining to the nominee being active within a year of the award nomination
